Papua New Guinea Sigri Plantation AA
Here because (quite unbiased, honestly, nothing to do with the fact that this is where Shirin began her coffee career) we think it’s the best coffee in the world. PNG is one of those origins where vagaries of history have kept the old tree varieties, with their elegant flavours and great aromatic dimension. Blue Mountain Typicas, Bourbons and Arushas give PNGs their gentle, tropical fruit sweetness, reminiscent of jackfruit or ripe papaya. Underlain by substantive body, this coffee just melts in the mouth. We chose our current offering from a farm in the Western Highlands Province called Sigri, which tempted us with its savoury sweet flavour.
